The Banco Central de Costa Rica (BCCR) recently issued several reminders and informational updates to the public through its official Twitter account, addressing banking transaction verification, property ownership, and digital security.

On April 13, 2026, BCCR advised users to confirm their transactions by checking their financial institution’s notifications.

Later that day, BCCR highlighted its ownership of several public spaces in San José.

On April 14, 2026, the bank reminded customers about the ability to manage transfer limits for added security.

The Banco Central de Costa Rica is responsible for monetary policy and financial system oversight in the country. Its SINPE Móvil platform allows real-time mobile transfers between individuals through digital banking platforms.
