Banco Nacional issues warnings and promotions on social media
Banco Nacional, a leading financial institution in Costa Rica, used its Twitter account to address customer security and announce promotional activities in a series of posts published on November 12 and 13, 2025.
On November 12, Banco Nacional cautioned customers about potential fraud attempts through urgent messages. The bank stated: “¡No caigás como Doña Confiada! Un mensaje que dice “URGENTE: su cuenta será bloqueada” puede ser fraude. Nunca compartas tus datos ni hagas clic en enlaces sospechosos. Si sos víctima de fraude, llamá al 2212-2000.”
Later the same day, Banco Nacional announced the conclusion of a major promotion involving its credit cards. The post read: “¡El gran momento llegó! Entregamos el premio principal de nuestra promo “Tus BN Tarjetas te llevan a un viaje épico en Orlando”. Nuestro ganador vivirá la magia de Universal Studios con sus acompañantes. ¡Cada compra puede ser el inicio de tu próxima aventura!”
On November 13, the bank promoted upcoming special offers for cardholders at several restaurant chains as part of its “BN Happy Jueves” campaign. According to the tweet: ” ¡Falta solo un día para disfrutar de BN Happy Jueves! Tus BN Tarjetas Mastercard, te llevarán mañana a disfrutar promos increíbles en: Burger King, Domino’s, Popeyes, Arby’s, Juan Valdez y Rosti. Más info aquí: https://t.co/jsNNK3ZNG7 #BNHappyJueves”
