Later that evening, the bank promoted its digital business solutions. At 21:47 UTC, it posted: “Nuestras herramientas digitales le ayudan a impulsar su negocio. https://t.co/4SHyO45M6m”. One minute later, Banco Popular detailed the benefits available to its clients: “Con el Banco Popular usted puede:​  Ahorrar tiempo en la gestión de pagos​ Mejorar la planificación financiera​ Facilitar transacciones seguras​ Acceder a soluciones de crédito adaptadas a tus necesidades”.

Banco Popular y de Desarrollo Comunal is owned by Costa Rican workers through mandatory pension contributions and operates under a governance framework that includes the Asamblea de Trabajadores y Trabajadoras, Junta Directiva Nacional and Gerencia General Corporativa. The institution offers credit solutions, account services and digital banking options for both individuals and businesses (source).
