For five days in September, the Antigua Aduana and surrounding areas hosted the Feria de las Flores por la Vida, an event that brought together music, art, food, and community support with the goal of aiding children in palliative care.

Banco Promerica participated as one of the main sponsors for the 2025 edition. The bank stated its belief that “solidarity is one of the most transformative forces in society.”

The fair allowed thousands of visitors to engage with a “Traveling Around the World” theme. Attendees received symbolic passports to collect stamps at various stands representing different countries’ cultures. The event featured concerts, dance performances, theater shows, and culinary spaces. It aimed to combine entertainment with a social purpose.

A key objective was to raise funds for building Costa Rica’s first Pediatric Palliative Care Center. This facility intends to expand services from 2,200 children currently receiving specialized care to more than 5,000 in coming years. The project seeks to provide comprehensive facilities and care that address medical, psychological, and emotional needs.

The Fundación Pro Unidad de Cuidados Paliativos has over thirty years of experience in this field. The foundation used the fair as an opportunity to highlight its work supporting families during difficult times.

Banco Promerica’s involvement from September 10 to 14 reflected its commitment to collective efforts for significant social projects benefiting Costa Rican children. The partnership was built on the idea that major social changes require collaboration among different sectors and that private companies can play a vital role.

According to organizers, each ticket sold and every contribution made helped bring closer the goal of establishing Costa Rica’s first pediatric palliative care center. Banco Promerica joined this collective effort focused on creating hope for families facing serious illness.
