Banco Popular de Costa Rica, through its official X account BancoPopularCR, published several announcements in mid-September 2025 related to upcoming national celebrations and banking services.

On September 12, 2025, BancoPopularCR encouraged followers to explore new opportunities for personal growth. The post stated: “Inspírese, cuestione y descubra nuevas formas de crecer. ​ Encuentre su charla favorita aquí https://t.co/C6tR0BQwsK”.

The following day, the bank informed customers about changes to its office hours due to a national holiday. In a tweet dated September 13, 2025, BancoPopularCR wrote: “Este 15 de septiembre, nuestras oficinas permanecerán cerradas por el feriado nacional del Día de la Independencia .​ Le invitamos a usar nuestros canales digitales. https://t.co/V1syV2TX0m”. This announcement coincides with Costa Rica’s Independence Day, which is observed annually on September 15 as a public holiday when most institutions close physical offices and encourage use of digital channels.

Later that same day, the bank promoted one of its financial products tailored for special occasions. On September 13, BancoPopularCR posted: “Se acerca el 15 de septiembre y es el momento ideal para realizar esas compras que tanto ha esperado. ¡Aproveche BP Tasa Cero! ​ Con la Tasa Cero de BP, podrá financiar sus compras. ¡Perfecto para fechas especiales como fiestas patrias y más! https://t.co/oZvH0iQpRG”. The “BP Tasa Cero” promotion allows customers to finance purchases without interest during key periods such as national holidays.

Banco Popular is one of Costa Rica’s major financial institutions and frequently uses its digital platforms to inform customers about service schedules and promotions around national events like Independence Day.
