BancoPopularCR, the official account of Banco Popular de Costa Rica, issued a series of warnings about digital fraud through posts on September 20, 2025. The messages aim to educate users on recognizing and avoiding online scams.

In one post, BancoPopularCR stated: “El fraude digital está a la orden del día. Aprenda a identificar señales para protegerse de estafas en línea.” (September 20, 2025).

Another message from the same day advised caution regarding suspicious offers: “¿Le suena familiar una oferta demasiado buena para ser verdad? ¡Ponga atención! Es uno de los trucos más comunes. “ (September 20, 2025).

The bank also recommended that users be vigilant and refrain from sharing personal information if something seems questionable: “Si algo parece sospechoso, ¡no lo dude! Evite dar información personal y reporte cualquier actividad rara. “ (September 20, 2025).

Banco Popular is a major financial institution in Costa Rica that regularly communicates with customers via social media channels to promote security awareness and responsible banking practices.
