Banco Popular de Costa Rica, through its official Twitter account BancoPopularCR, recently issued a series of posts focused on fraud prevention and customer awareness at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026.

On December 30, 2025, BancoPopularCR warned users about common tactics used by scammers: “Los estafadores usan la urgencia como estrategia. Mantenga la calma y verifique todo.” The bank advised customers to remain calm and verify information before taking action.

The following day, December 31, 2025, BancoPopularCR emphasized the importance of vigilance during financial transactions: ” No todo lo que “parece” de tu banco es seguro. Exigí que tus transacciones se hagan frente a vos y verificá el monto antes de aprobar. ¡Cuidá tu dinero! #PrevenciónDeFraude”

To close out the year, on January 1, 2026, BancoPopularCR posted a message of gratitude and commitment for the coming year: “Despedimos el año con agradecimiento y damos la bienvenida a nuevas oportunidades.​ Seguiremos trabajando a su lado en cada paso.​ ¡Feliz Año Nuevo! “
