The Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR) has released several updates regarding the country’s economic situation and key financial indicators. On April 1, 2026, BCCR announced the availability of its Annual Report for 2025. The central bank stated in its communication: ” Ya está disponible la Memoria Anual 2025 del BCCR: un repaso del entorno económico, el desempeño del país y las decisiones clave en política monetaria, cambiaria y financiera.

Later the same day, BCCR provided an update on benchmark interest rates that will be effective from April 2. The bank posted: “Estos son los valores de la Tasa Básica Pasiva (TBP) y de la Tasa Efectiva en Dólares (TED) que regirán a partir de este jueves 2 de abril del 2026.
