Larissa Machado, a Brazilian influencer known for her fitness lifestyle and passion for motorcycles, died in a traffic accident in Manaus, Brazil, according to an April 1 announcement.
Machado’s death has drawn widespread attention on social media. She was recognized for sharing her daily routines and interests with a large online following.
According to local media reports, the accident took place around 5:30 a.m. on March 27 on Avenida Darcy Vargas, one of the busiest roads in central-southern Manaus. Authorities said Machado lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into a retaining wall. Emergency responders arrived at the scene but declared her dead at the site.
Officials from the Institute of Forensic Medicine and the Department of Technical-Scientific Police are currently reviewing security camera footage from Avenida Darcy Vargas as part of their investigation into what caused Machado to lose control of her vehicle.
Following news of her death, many people left messages expressing condolences on Machado’s recent social media posts. One user wrote: “I cry for her; she lived just behind my house.” Another commented: “May God comfort all the family; only those who have lost a daughter truly know this pain.” A third simply posted: “Rest in peace.”
