Ítalo Marenco, a presenter on Teletica’s ‘Buen día’, reacted visibly after tasting a green juice during the broadcast on March 23. The segment featured Marenco and co-host Natalia Monge sampling a beverage prepared by an invited doctor.
The moment drew attention as Marenco’s facial expressions made clear his discomfort with the drink. As he continued to sip, he pulled faces that elicited laughter from the specialist present in the studio.
Natalia Monge also responded to the tartness of the juice but described her reaction as positive, stating: “Pero me fascina. Es que yo y el limón y el limón y yo. Claro, yo tengo reflujo, doctora. Yo siempre pregunto por el reflujo, pero ya desayuné.” Meanwhile, Marenco continued to show signs of displeasure beside her.
The exchange ended with Monge laughing and expressing surprise when she learned that Marenco was breaking his fast with this particular drink.
This incident highlights how live television can lead to unscripted moments for presenters tasked with trying new products during broadcasts.
