Costa Rica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cancillería Costa Rica, published several posts on X (formerly Twitter) in mid-December 2025 highlighting diplomatic initiatives and regional cooperation efforts.
On December 12, the ministry acknowledged Kenya’s Independence Day with a message of goodwill.
The following day, Cancillería Costa Rica reported on outcomes from an official visit to El Salvador.
In another update from the same visit on December 13, the ministry described a tour of El Salvador’s Center for Confinement Against Terrorism.
The Memorandum of Understanding referenced by Cancillería Costa Rica is part of ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral relations between Costa Rica and El Salvador through security cooperation and dialogue. This aligns with recent regional trends where Central American countries have increased collaboration to address organized crime and improve public safety.
Costa Rica has also maintained active diplomatic outreach with other nations such as Kenya, reflecting its broader foreign policy objectives to foster international goodwill and strengthen multilateral relationships.
