Costa Rica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cancillería Costa Rica, published a series of tweets on February 16 and 17, 2026, highlighting key diplomatic activities during an official visit to Slovenia by Foreign Minister Dr. Arnoldo André.

On February 16, Cancillería Costa Rica reported on discussions between Dr. André and Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon. The ministry stated: ” Durante su encuentro con la viceprimera ministra y canciller Tanja Fajon, abordaron temas clave como comercio bilateral, inversión extranjera, innovación tecnológica y cooperación académica.” (February 16, 2026).

The following day, the ministry shared details about a media engagement involving Dr. André: “Durante su visita oficial a Eslovenia, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Dr. Arnoldo André, concedió una entrevista al reconocido periodista esloveno Tone Hočevar del medio @dnevnik

Additionally, the Ministry emphasized the country’s policy stances in another tweet: “El ministro André reafirmó el compromiso del país con la democracia, los derechos humanos y la acción climática, impulsando una mayor colaboración entre América Latina y Europa frente a los desafíos globales.” (February 17, 2026).

Dr. Arnoldo André serves as Costa Rica’s Foreign Minister and leads the nation’s international diplomacy efforts. Costa Rica is known for its longstanding commitment to democratic governance and human rights. The visit to Slovenia forms part of ongoing initiatives to strengthen relations with European countries through trade partnerships and cooperative projects in technology and academia.
