Colombian actress Carolina Ramírez, known for her roles in the Netflix series “La reina del flow” and “La hija del mariachi,” announced that she is expecting her first child at the age of 42. The announcement was made through a post on her social media accounts.

Ramírez addressed her followers, explaining the reason behind her recent absence from public life. “Dear community, I know I have been very absent here and I apologize for the disconnection, but I was involved in other plans… ones that have changed my life,” she wrote.

She revealed that she and her husband, Argentine music producer Martín Cornide, chose to keep the pregnancy private for nearly six months. “During these almost six months, Martín and I decided to keep this miracle in silence. I always said I would become a mother when the stars aligned and finally they did,” Ramírez stated.

Reflecting from what she described as her place of healing and peace in the Mayan jungle, Ramírez shared: “At 42 years old, life simply reminds me that timing is perfect, that what must be will be and we just have to trust because God is very powerful.”

The actress also spoke about starting a family with Cornide. “For us, family has always been the most sacred value and we are deeply excited to start ours; our life grows stronger and gains new meaning, we are happy,” she said.

Ramírez noted that they do not yet know the baby’s sex and prefer it to remain a surprise until birth. “Don’t even ask if it’s a boy or girl: they are welcome in every way and we won’t know until they’re born,” she explained.

She concluded by expressing gratitude to her audience for their support. “Before you see it elsewhere, I wanted you to hear from me that our lives have changed forever. Thank you for receiving this news with the same respect and love with which we have cared for it.”

Ramírez’s announcement highlights how some individuals choose to start families later in life while maintaining privacy around personal milestones.
