CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones, is moving forward with its expansion in the United States. The company recently acquired a majority stake in Del Real Foods, which specializes in refrigerated Hispanic foods, and has opened more branches of its well-known brand Pollo Campero.

Juan José Gutiérrez, Chairman of CMI Alimentos, stated that over the past decade, CMI has tripled its size due to growth in the Central American market. He described entry into the U.S. as “a bet on the future,” calling it a natural evolution for a company seeking to maintain rapid growth.

Alongside geographic expansion, CMI Capital is shifting its strategic model toward Active Asset Management. Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez, Chairman of CMI Capital, said this strategy aims to use the corporation’s strong reputation to attract new investors.

Both leaders represent the third generation of their family business and emphasize maintaining the founder’s vision while adapting for future challenges. The interview took place during the Council of the Americas symposium in Miami, where both executives received the BRAVO Business Legacy Award.
