Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI), through its brands Toledo, Héroes de Fuego, and Aliansa, participated in the 32nd Congress of Swine Production in Guatemala. The event took place from November 19 to 21 in Antigua Guatemala and was organized by APOGUA. It brought together experts, producers, and regional leaders to discuss innovation, productivity, and best practices within the pork industry.

The congress is recognized as a key gathering for technical updates and the exchange of experiences among stakeholders working to grow the swine sector in the region. CMI’s involvement aimed to contribute innovative solutions, support professional development within the sector, and promote practices that ensure quality, efficiency, and food safety.

“Our participation responds to the purpose of contributing innovative solutions, strengthening professionalization in the sector, and promoting practices that guarantee quality, efficiency, and food security,” stated CMI.

CMI emphasized its ongoing engagement with producers, suppliers, and regional leaders. The company aims to drive initiatives that foster industry growth while benefiting local communities where it operates.

This year’s congress featured keynote presentations from national and international experts. Attendees had opportunities for strategic networking and explored commercial exhibits focused on new solutions for animal health, nutrition, genetics, and technology relevant to modern swine production.

“The participation of CMI stood out for its focus on quality, productive efficiency and food safety,” according to CMI. “Through Toledo and its premium line Héroes de Fuego as well as Aliansa we strengthened relationships with key producers, technicians and suppliers while promoting good practices.”

Specialists from Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Chile contributed insights on global trends facing the industry. These discussions encouraged a valuable exchange intended to improve competitiveness across the region.

“These spaces fostered a valuable exchange that drives regional competitiveness,” CMI said. “It allows us to continue working towards our goal of generating life-changing opportunities with family warmth.”

Currently led by Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga as Chairman of CMI Alimentos and Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez as Chairman of CMI Capital—both representing the third generation of family leadership—CMI has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development through continued investment in programs supporting entrepreneurship.
