CoopeAgri R.L. held its third meeting for female members on July 30 at the Centro de Capacitación Claudio Gamboa Calderón. The event aimed to support leadership, health, and well-being among women who are part of the cooperative.
The meeting brought together coffee and sugarcane producers as well as female staff members. Attendees took part in sessions focused on learning, reflection, and analysis of issues important for personal and community development.
Key goals of the event included promoting gender equality, strengthening the cooperative’s social balance, and providing a space for dialogue and training on comprehensive health. These efforts are part of CoopeAgri’s ongoing work under Fair Trade certification standards.
With support from CoopeAgri Clínica Médica’s professional team, participants received information on several topics:
– Practical advice for maintaining good visual health
– First aid tips for use at home
– Warning signs in reproductive health and chronic diseases affecting women
“This third meeting reinforces CoopeAgri’s commitment to integration, well-being, and empowerment of its female members, in line with Fair Trade principles and sustainable development promoted by the organization,” said a spokesperson from CoopeAgri.
