The Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its official Twitter account, reported on a recent meeting between Costa Rica’s Foreign Minister Dr. Arnoldo André and his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita to discuss bilateral and global matters.

On March 27, 2026, the ministry posted: ” El canciller, Dr. Arnoldo André, sostuvo un encuentro con su homólogo del Reino de Marruecos, Nasser Bourita, en el que abordaron temas de interés bilateral y global https://t.co/wfcrN3gmoK”.

A subsequent tweet from the same date stated: “Reafirmaron su compromiso de impulsar la cooperación en áreas clave como cambio climático, protección ambiental, energía renovable e inclusión, así como avanzar en la agenda ambiental internacional de cara a 2026. https://t.co/kbTdUu1Yvd”.

Additionally, the ministry announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Manuel María de Peralta Diplomatic Academy and Morocco’s Institute for Training, Research and Diplomatic Studies: “Se suscribió un memorando de entendimiento entre la Academia Diplomática Manuel María de Peralta y el Instituto Marroquí de Formación, Investigación y Estudios Diplomáticos, con el objetivo de fortalecer la formación diplomática y el intercambio de experiencias”.

Costa Rica has previously emphasized international cooperation in areas such as climate change and environmental protection as part of its foreign policy objectives. The country often seeks partnerships with other nations to advance renewable energy initiatives and promote inclusion at an international level.
