Jesaaelys Ayala González, daughter of the Puerto Rican artist Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González, recently married Carlos Olmo in a ceremony held on October 4, 2025. Images from the wedding were not shared publicly until January 4, when Jesaaelys posted photos on Instagram highlighting key moments such as her white dress, natural flower bouquet, rings, and parts of the reception.
Notably absent from both the event and the images was Daddy Yankee. Instead of her father accompanying her down the aisle—a common tradition—her mother Mireddys González walked with her to the altar. This departure from tradition drew attention to ongoing rumors about a strained relationship between Jesaaelys and her father.
According to People magazine, Daddy Yankee’s absence was not simply due to logistics but reflected a “damaged relationship” between him and his daughter. Over the past year, Jesaaelys has publicly supported her mother during a contentious divorce process with Daddy Yankee. She attended court hearings in San Juan alongside Mireddys González and openly stated that she sides with her mother in their highly publicized separation.
In statements made in February 2025 regarding her parents’ divorce, Jesaaelys said: “It has been very difficult; it is a situation that is exposed to the public at 100%. We are a media circus and it is horrible to be in a situation that someone I love with all my heart put me into.”
The divorce between Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González was finalized on February 18, 2025, under claims of an “irreparable breakdown.” The conflict escalated when Daddy Yankee took legal action against Mireddys and her sister over alleged unauthorized transfers of $100 million from corporate accounts to personal ones.
Given this context of family tension and legal disputes, Jesaaelys’s decision not to invite her father to her wedding is seen as further evidence of their fractured relationship.
