Ericka Morera, a participant in the television dance competition “Mira quién baila” on Teletica, has spoken about her experience and motivations as the show approaches its tenth gala. Morera stated that she began the contest without any prior dance training or technical background.

She noted that before joining the program, she was unaware of the challenges involved in dancing with proper technique or performing under the pressure of a televised competition. She emphasized that she had never taken ballet classes or similar instruction.

Morera said she progressed from having no experience and overcame each challenge through discipline, love, and dedication. She recalled months of training and expressed satisfaction with every choreography.

“I am not a professional dancer because, I repeat, I have never danced in my life, but how nice it is to feel satisfied with things done with love, and that is what I have managed to convey to all of you. I am truly so happy and so grateful to Javier (her dance partner),” Morera said.

She explained that her motivation comes from FundaVida, her community of women, and her daughter. One meaningful moment for Morera occurs when she returns home and hears her daughter say: “Mommy, you dance so beautifully. I am so proud of you.” According to Morera, this phrase has become her greatest reward as it reflects the effort and affection she puts into each performance.

Morera thanked viewers for their support and said she wants to continue improving on the dance floor. She indicated that she will remain focused and committed to each new challenge during the competition.
