ICE to auction over 480 metric tons of copper scrap in November

The Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) has announced plans to auction 462,518 kilograms of copper cable scrap and 18,917 kilograms of granulated copper. The auction is scheduled for November 18, 2025, starting at 8:00 a.m., and will take place at the ICE Plantel auditorium in Rincón Grande de Pavas.

Those interested in participating must register in person at the DIPOA Building of ICE in Sabana Norte on the fourth floor. Registration is open from November 4 to November 17, 2025, during business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Only individuals who have registered according to the official terms will be allowed to participate in the auction. Before the event, participants may inspect the material by arranging an appointment with those responsible for recovery centers listed in the official document. Inspections can be carried out until November 17.

Among the main requirements are being up-to-date with social security obligations with the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), fulfilling all tax obligations with the Ministry of Finance, and presenting required tax declarations.
