Mexican forward José de Jesús González will return to play for Club Sport Herediano for the upcoming season. The club announced on Sunday that González, who was part of Herediano’s squad during their championship wins in the Apertura 2024 and Clausura 2025 tournaments, will join the team’s training sessions and has signed a one-year contract.
This marks González’s second period with the Costa Rican club. He previously joined Herediano from Atlético San Luis, a team in Mexico’s top football division. During his first stint with Herediano, González played in 46 matches across national league games, cup competitions, Supercopa, and the Concacaf League. In that time, he scored 12 goals, provided two assists, and logged a total of 2,372 minutes on the field.
González has also played for other clubs including Chivas de Guadalajara, Leones Negros, and Tapatío.
