Keylor Navas delivered a standout performance for Pumas in their Liga MX match against Chivas de Guadalajara on April 6, making a double save that drew widespread attention from fans and the media. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with Navas playing a key role in securing the point for his team.

Navas’s actions were especially significant as they helped prevent what could have been a defeat for Pumas. The Costa Rican goalkeeper’s quick reflexes came into play during the first half after Pumas had taken the lead. He stopped an initial shot near the penalty spot by diving to his right and then immediately blocked a powerful follow-up attempt at close range.

The saves sparked reactions across social media from figures within Mexican football. Journalist David Faitelson wrote, “¿Alguna duda sobre que Keylor Navas es el mejor portero de la Liga MX?” Former player Hérculez Gómez also praised Navas, saying: “Es el mejor portero de Concacaf y no hay punto de comparación.”

Despite Navas’s efforts, Pumas were unable to maintain their two-goal advantage from the first half. Chivas managed to equalize with a penalty scored by Hormiga González in stoppage time at minute 90+12.

Following this result, Guadalajara remained at the top of Liga MX with 31 points while Pumas reached fifth place with 24 points.
