On November 21, 2025, La Nación posted that “Yessenia Ramírez, quien maneja la franquicia de Miss Universe Costa Rica desde hace dos años, habló directo desde Tailandia, luego de que Mahyla Roth quedara eliminada del Miss Universo 2025” (November 21, 2025). This tweet highlighted that Yessenia Ramírez, who has led the Miss Universe Costa Rica franchise for two years, spoke from Thailand following Mahyla Roth’s exit from the international pageant.
Shortly after, La Nación published another statement: “Directora de Miss Universe Costa Rica lanza fuerte mensaje tras eliminación de Mahyla Roth de Miss Universo” (November 21, 2025). The message referenced a strong response issued by the national director after Roth’s elimination.
In a separate post later that morning, La Nación commented on the performance of Fátima Bosch at the same event: “Fátima Bosch, Miss Universo 2025, cantinfleó en la ronda de preguntas: vea su extraña respuesta” (November 21, 2025). The tweet noted an unusual answer given by Bosch during the question round.
