Thousands protest U.S. immigration raids, La Nación reports

Thousands of people protested against large-scale anti-immigration raids conducted by the United States government, according to a series of posts by La Nación on January 24, 2026. The demonstrations were sparked in part by anger over the detention of a child and led to the closure of several businesses.

Additionally, at 00:06 UTC, La Nación shared news related to the health status of a well-known singer through comments from another artist and close friend: “Otro artista e íntimo amigo del cantante, comentó el estado de salud del querido vocalista, quien brilló en una reconocida agrupación nacional.”

The protests come amid ongoing debates in the United States about immigration enforcement policies and their social impact. In recent years, mass immigration raids have prompted widespread criticism from civil rights organizations and immigrant advocacy groups concerned about family separations and community disruption.
