La Nación, a prominent Costa Rican newspaper, posted a series of updates on September 22, 2025, regarding the results of the National Lottery held on Sunday, September 21. Shortly after, at 02:49 UTC, another update followed: “Lotería nacional: conozca los números ganadores de este domingo 21 de setiembre https://t.co/AmredNhPH1”.

At 02:51 UTC, La Nación confirmed that the major prize had been won with the message: “¡Salió el acumulado! de la Lotería Nacional que otorga ¢350 millones https://t.co/a5LK2IZGFh”.

The National Lottery in Costa Rica is a long-standing institution managed by the Junta de Protección Social (JPS), which organizes weekly draws with significant cash prizes. The lottery serves as both entertainment and a source of funding for social programs throughout the country.
