La Nación, a major Costa Rican news outlet, reported several developments on November 14, 2025, through its social media channels.

In one post dated November 14, 2025, La Nación reported that a farmer discovered what could be human bones in San Carlos: “Finquero encuentra posibles huesos humanos en San Carlos https://t.co/MWiZZtETuh”.

On the same day, the outlet also shared information regarding an emergency response at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology (TEC), stating: “TEC activa protocolos de emergencia tras recibir amenaza de ataque armado https://t.co/hrpWlzLKGe”. TEC is a leading public university in Costa Rica known for its focus on science and technology education.

Additionally, La Nación reported a significant development concerning trade relations between the United States and agricultural exporters. In their post from November 14, 2025, they stated: “Aranceles Trump: Estados Unidos suspende aranceles a productos agrícolas. Piña, banano y café, incluidos https://t.co/zfRCzvaZCs”. The referenced tariffs were originally imposed during Donald Trump’s presidency as part of broader trade measures affecting multiple countries’ exports to the U.S., including those from Latin America.

San Carlos is an agricultural region in northern Costa Rica. Discoveries of possible human remains in rural areas are not uncommon and typically prompt investigations by local authorities. The suspension of U.S. tariffs on products such as pineapple, banana, and coffee may have significant economic implications for Costa Rican exporters who rely heavily on access to international markets.
