La Nación, a prominent Costa Rican news outlet, reported on two significant incidents on October 4, 2025. The first concerned flooding in Cartago following heavy rainfall, and the second involved an altercation between television presenters during a live broadcast.

On October 4, 2025, La Nación posted: “Este sábado, se inundó la ruta paralela al nuevo paso a desnivel de La Lima, en Cartago, luego de las fuertes lluvias de la tarde.” The tweet described flooding on the road parallel to the new underpass in La Lima, Cartago after afternoon storms.

Later that evening, La Nación published another update regarding an incident involving media personalities: “Famoso presentador se fue a los golpes contra compañero en plena transmisión: vea qué sucedió”. This was followed by additional details in a subsequent tweet: “El famoso presentador protagonizó una acalorada discusión que terminó en violencia física, por la que ya fue separado del programa.” According to this post, the presenter was removed from the program after a heated argument escalated into physical violence.

La Nación is one of Costa Rica’s oldest and most widely read newspapers. Its reporting frequently covers national events including severe weather impacts and issues within the country’s media landscape.
