On September 6, La Nación reported an incident in Pérez Zeledón where a home invasion resulted in an injury: “Asalto a vivienda en Pérez Zeledón termina con adulto mayor herido” (September 6, 2025).

In another post the same day, the outlet commented on a football match involving Chepe Bomba: “Chepe Bomba no tuvo piedad y deja en evidencia al fútbol de Costa Rica” (September 6, 2025).

Additionally, La Nación shared information about Popular Pensiones publishing a list of deceased affiliates with remaining balances. The tweet provided guidance for families on how to claim funds such as ROP or FCL: “Popular Pensiones publicó la lista de afiliados fallecidos con saldo: así pueden los familiares reclamar el ROP o FCL” (September 6, 2025).

Popular Pensiones is one of Costa Rica’s main pension fund administrators. When account holders pass away with funds left in their accounts, relatives may claim benefits like the Obligatory Pension Regime (ROP) or Labor Capitalization Fund (FCL) by following procedures established by the administrator.
