La Nación reports on criminal probes and personal stories in latest social media posts

La Nación, a major Costa Rican newspaper, published a series of posts on November 18, 2025, covering topics ranging from criminal investigations to personal stories involving public figures.

In one post dated November 18, 2025, La Nación reported: “Aforador de Hacienda era ‘eje’ de estructuras que ingresaban tenis triple A vinculadas con exguerrillero de las FARC https://t.co/To30j4eEEv”. The tweet alleges that a tax auditor was at the center of networks importing high-quality counterfeit sneakers linked to a former FARC guerrilla member.

On the same date, another tweet addressed an ongoing murder investigation: “OIJ publica retrato de mujer asesinada en Desamparados y pide ayuda para identificarla https://t.co/bhHrZSwcm7”. Here, La Nación relayed that Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) released a sketch of a murdered woman in Desamparados and is seeking public assistance for her identification.

Additionally, La Nación shared news regarding a local celebrity: “Lynda Díaz recibe inesperado detalle de su hija recién casada; esto fue lo que pasó https://t.co/yaJ3GT41cZ”. This post describes how Lynda Díaz received an unexpected gesture from her newly married daughter.

La Nación is recognized as one of Costa Rica’s leading newspapers and frequently reports on national crime cases as well as stories involving prominent figures. The reference to OIJ concerns Costa Rica’s primary investigative police force. The mention of FARC refers to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, which has been involved in armed conflict and criminal activities across Latin America.
