In one post from January 8, 2026, La Nación shared news of an incident involving a U.S. wingsuit pilot: “Piloto estadounidense de wingsuit murió tras un salto ilegal desde Table Mountain en Sudáfrica. Impactó rocas a 193 km/h y su identidad requiere confirmación por ADN.” According to the report, the pilot died after an illegal jump from Table Mountain in South Africa, colliding with rocks at a speed of 193 km/h. The individual’s identity is pending confirmation through DNA analysis.

On the same day, La Nación published another update concerning international diplomatic developments: “‘El Gobierno de España saluda la liberación hoy en Caracas de cinco españoles’, anuncia Madrid. Lea lo que se sabe hasta ahora.” The Spanish government announced from Madrid that it welcomes the release of five Spanish citizens in Caracas.
