La Nación reported on January 10, 2026, a series of developments across technology and government sectors. The publication highlighted advancements in television display technology, changes in software support from a major tech company, and updates on an ongoing investigation involving federal officials.

In its first post of the day, La Nación announced that “Dolby anunció los primeros televisores con Dolby Vision 2 para 2026. Hisense, TCL y TP Vision integrarán la tecnología en modelos MiniLED y OLED.” (January 10, 2026). This statement indicates that Dolby Vision 2 will be incorporated into new television models from manufacturers such as Hisense, TCL, and TP Vision.

Later the same morning, La Nación addressed an issue related to a government inquiry: “El gobierno federal ha excluido a sus funcionarios de la investigación sobre la muerte a disparos de Renee Nicole Good el miércoles.” (January 10, 2026). According to this report, federal officials are not included in the investigation concerning the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good.

In another update regarding technology products, La Nación stated: “Microsoft confirmó que Office 2021 perderá su soporte oficial este año. El paquete dejará de recibir actualizaciones de seguridad y asistencia técnica.” (January 10, 2026). The tweet informs users that Microsoft Office 2021 will no longer receive security updates or technical support by the end of the year.

Dolby Vision is an advanced high dynamic range (HDR) format used in televisions to improve picture quality through enhanced contrast and color accuracy. Microsoft typically provides mainstream support for its Office software products for five years after release before ending official updates and assistance. In cases involving investigations of deaths or shootings with potential government involvement or oversight concerns, it is not uncommon for scrutiny over which parties are included or excluded from inquiries.
