La Nación, a major Costa Rican newspaper, published several posts on February 3, 2026, covering topics from sports to health research.

In two separate tweets posted minutes apart, La Nación reported on the presentation of Hernán Medford with Saprissa. The outlet quoted Medford as saying ‘ya dejen ese tema’ during his appearance. The same message was reiterated in another post: ‘ya dejen ese tema’.

Later that day, La Nación shared news about a scientific development concerning kidney disease and cardiac conditions. The tweet stated: “Científicos identifican un mecanismo oculto que explica por qué pacientes renales mueren por afecciones cardíacas”.

Hernán Medford is a well-known football manager and former player in Costa Rica, often associated with Deportivo Saprissa, one of the country’s most prominent football clubs. Kidney disease is recognized globally for its link to cardiovascular complications; recent research has aimed to uncover biological mechanisms behind this association to improve patient outcomes.
