Minutes later, at 00:43 UTC, La Nación highlighted the importance of Costa Rica’s next fixture against Haiti. The tweet stated: “La Selección de Costa Rica se juega un partido decisivo ante Haití rumbo al Mundial 2026. Descubra los horarios y qué se juega la Tricolor en esta fecha clave de las eliminatorias. https://t.co/VgZmTJQzbb”.

The CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup involve multiple rounds where teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean compete for spots in the final tournament. Group C includes both Costa Rica and Honduras, who have a longstanding football rivalry and are considered strong contenders within their group.

Costa Rica has a history of qualifying for recent World Cups and is seeking to secure another appearance at the global tournament scheduled to be held across Canada, Mexico, and the United States in 2026.
