On January 15, 2026, La Nación reported that “Estados Unidos suspenderá visas de inmigrante para estos tres países desde el 21 de enero. La decisión marca un nuevo giro en la política migratoria y genera impacto en la región.” The tweet did not specify which countries would be affected by the visa suspension or provide further details about the new U.S. immigration policy.

In another update on the same day, La Nación announced an upcoming sporting event: “La Copa del Café iniciará este lunes 19 de enero en las canchas del Costa Rica Country Club, con la participación de 64 tenistas”.
