La Nación, a prominent Costa Rican newspaper, posted several updates on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on September 18, 2025. The posts covered topics ranging from royal protocol to football events and transfer speculation.

In one post, La Nación highlighted a moment involving the British royal family: “Kate Middleton saluda al rey Carlos III con reverencia y el video se viraliza en las redes sociales” (September 18, 2025). This tweet notes that a video of Kate Middleton greeting King Charles III with a bow went viral on social media.

Another tweet from the same day reported an unusual event during a football match: “Increíble, pero cierto: aficionado devolvió la camiseta a un jugador tras anulación de la expulsión por el VAR” (September 18, 2025). According to this post, after a player’s red card was overturned by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), a fan returned the player’s jersey.

Additionally, La Nación raised speculation about possible last-minute transfers in Costa Rican football with the post: “¿Alajuelense sorprenderá con un fichaje de última hora?” (September 18, 2025).

La Nación is recognized as one of Costa Rica’s leading daily newspapers and regularly covers national and international news across various sectors including sports and current affairs.
