A 15-year-old minor was shot in a public street in Pavas, and a Costa Rican national working as a manager for an international banana company was stabbed to death in Belize, according to posts by La Nación on March 27, 2026. The incidents were reported through the newspaper’s official social media account.

On March 27, 2026, La Nación posted: ” Menor de 15 años fue atacado a balazos en vía pública de Pavas https://t.co/g6Hm9kY83t”. Later that morning, the newspaper reiterated the information with another post: ” Menor de 15 años fue atacado a balazos en vía pública de Pavas https://t.co/yFqH68D6rO”.

Additionally, La Nación reported on the same date: ” Costarricense es asesinado a puñaladas en Belice: era gerente de una reconocida bananera internacional https://t.co/ScGEZW3ce3″.
