In two separate posts at 02:40 and 02:50 UTC, La Nación addressed individuals who lost their jobs at Pollo Granjero. The first tweet stated: ” ¿Perdió su empleo en Pollo Granjero? Estas empresas están recibiendo currículos https://t.co/s0GQbdw1Xr” (March 20, 2026). A similar message was repeated ten minutes later: ” ¿Perdió su empleo en Pollo Granjero? Estas empresas están recibiendo currículos https://t.co/rfo7le14NQ” (March 20, 2026).

Later the same day at 02:57 UTC, La Nación shifted focus to Costa Rican football. The outlet tweeted: ” Jafet Soto ‘saca pecho’ con el Herediano por lo que no pudieron hacer Alajuelense, Saprissa y Cartaginés https://t.co/1HSqbfLsPp” (March 20, 2026).

Pollo Granjero is a well-known fast-food chain in Costa Rica. Job losses at such chains can have significant impacts on local employment levels.
