La Nación, a prominent Costa Rican newspaper, shared several updates on its official X account on September 21, 2025. The posts covered topics ranging from university rankings to print publication availability and information about social security benefits.

In a post published at 00:44 UTC, La Nación announced the release of a new ranking of higher education institutions in Latin America: “Estas son las 20 mejores universidades de toda Latinoamérica, según el ranking QS 2026 https://t.co/zxpiwChRiL” (September 21, 2025).

Later that morning at 01:00 UTC, the newspaper promoted its print edition with the following message: ” Adquiera la edición impresa de la Revista Dominical este domingo 21 de setiembre en los principales establecimientos comerciales del país. Consulte nuestro contenido también en https://t.co/3PycGSDz69 https://t.co/Oof5RmwBmy” (September 21, 2025).

At 01:06 UTC, La Nación informed followers about a recent update from Costa Rica’s Social Security Fund (CCSS), stating: “CCSS publicó la lista de afiliados fallecidos con saldo: así pueden los familiares reclamar el ROP o FCL https://t.co/cOBAhR78Gp” (September 21, 2025).

The QS World University Rankings are widely referenced for evaluating academic institutions in Latin America and globally. The CCSS is responsible for administering Costa Rica’s public health and pension systems; occasionally it publishes lists to help families claim funds such as ROP (Pension Regime) or FCL (Labor Capitalization Fund) left by deceased affiliates.
