Italian singer Laura Pausini performed a concert in Costa Rica on April 29. The event took place at the Estadio Nacional and featured a range of songs from her own discography as well as tributes to other Latin American artists.
The concert was notable for its emotional journey, with Pausini leading the audience through memories, love stories, heartbreaks, and moments of joy. She performed songs from her album ‘Yo canto 2’, paying tribute to composers such as Shakira, Mecano, José Luis Perales, Gianluca Grignani, Alejandro Sanz, Gloria Estefan, Bad Bunny and Madonna.
Throughout the evening, Pausini changed costumes to reflect different themes. At one point she wore a gold outfit reminiscent of medieval armor while performing “Yo canto.” Later in the show she returned dressed in black with a crown to sing “Hijo de la luna,” which became one of the most inspiring moments of the night.
The setlist included both her own hits like “Escucha tu corazón,” “Emergencia de amor,” “Entre tú y mil mares” and covers such as “Antología” by Shakira and “Cuando nadie me ve” by Alejandro Sanz. The performance also featured dance numbers with salsa and pop influences.
Near the end of the show Pausini thanked her fans for their support over her 32-year career. She invited several fans from different nationalities onto stage during a segment that included performances like “Bachata rosa” by Juan Luis Guerra. The night concluded with virtual guest Ricky Martin joining for “Livin’ la vida loca” before closing out with “Mariposa Tecknicolor” by Fito Páez.
