Liberia secured a 1-0 advantage over Liga Deportiva Alajuelense in the first leg of the Copa Tournament quarterfinals, held at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto. The only goal of the match was scored by Joaquín Alonso Hernández, with significant involvement from Abner Hudson in setting up the play.

The return leg is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, at 6 p.m., at Estadio Edgardo Baltodano in Liberia. The winner of this series will move on to the semifinals to face either Saprissa or Carmelita.
