LuisGa, lead singer of the Costa Rican band Los Ajenos, and his fiancée Mónica Barboza are expecting their first child. The couple announced that their baby, a boy named Luca, is due to arrive in mid-January next year.

Speaking with La Esquina 506, LuisGa shared his excitement about becoming a father. “We are waiting for him with great eagerness to have him here with us (…). We ask you to send us all your blessings, all your good vibes,” said the artist.

LuisGa and Mónica’s relationship has been shaped by mutual support and overcoming challenges. In the past, LuisGa faced serious health issues that prompted him to reconsider his lifestyle. During this period, Mónica, who works as a microbiologist, played a key role in recognizing his condition and helping him recover.

“Thank God for putting Moni in my path. Thanks to her for helping me with everything because the doctor told me we were close to it being too late,” LuisGa recalled in an interview with La Nación. He described how this turning point led him to leave behind alcohol addiction and focus on his well-being.

Now looking forward to fatherhood and continuing his journey of sobriety, LuisGa says he feels grateful each day. He also revealed plans to end 2025 with a concert alongside Los Ajenos on December 31 at Fuente de la Hispanidad.
