A man identified by the last name Gunera, aged 20, was detained in Santa Ana on April 15 as a suspect in a case of sexual assault against an adult woman. The arrest was carried out at 5:50 p.m. with the support of the local Municipal Police, according to information from the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ).
Authorities say that the incident under investigation took place on Saturday, April 11, around 8:40 a.m., near the Bravo River. The victim was riding her motorcycle when she noticed she was being followed by another motorcyclist. When she stopped along the road, authorities report that the alleged assault occurred.
After conducting investigative procedures, officials were able to identify and locate Gunera as a suspect. He was subsequently apprehended and handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for determination of his legal status.
The case highlights ongoing concerns about public safety and incidents involving women traveling alone. Law enforcement agencies continue their efforts to address such cases and bring suspects before judicial authorities.
