The Ministry of Public Education (MEP) will open the application process for post-secondary scholarships on February 5, 2026. Applications can be submitted online through the Regional Digital Module (ReDi) at https://mep.go.cr/becas-postsecundaria starting at 7:00 a.m. This new date replaces those previously announced.
Applicants are advised to review the requirements in document DVM-A-DPE-UB-0002-2026.pdf, available on the MEP website. For additional information, individuals may contact [email protected].
The application period runs from January 19 to February 27.
The Department of Electronic Documentation and Information (DDIE), part of the Directorate of Technological Resources in Education (DRTE) within MEP, has launched a new website at https://ddie.mep.go.cr/.
MEP has also invested in 19 educational centers that will participate in the National Sports Games Limón 2026. The selection was made jointly with the Costa Rican Sports Institute as part of a public-public partnership.
Online materials have been prepared by MEP for final-year primary and secondary students who will take part in the extension session of the National Standardized Summative Test scheduled for February.
From December 15, 2025 to February 13, 2026, public schools located in socially vulnerable areas across the country will keep their cafeterias open during vacation periods.
