On September 2, 2025, MIDEPLAN reported the conclusion of a collaborative initiative among Chile, Mexico, and Costa Rica. The Parque Marino del Pacífico served as the venue for the closing event of this triangular project mission.
Later that day, MIDEPLAN detailed a workshop held with CONARE to discuss regulatory frameworks for public investments. The workshop focused on the Law of the National Public Investment System (SNIP), which aims to improve the management and oversight of public projects in Costa Rica.
On September 3, 2025, MIDEPLAN expressed support for proposed legislation designed to better align government programs with national strategic plans. Costa Rica’s MIDEPLAN is responsible for coordinating national planning policies and managing international cooperation projects. It also plays a key role in developing legal frameworks such as SNIP to ensure effective allocation and evaluation of public investments across sectors.
