On January 8, the ministry shared guidance from the SecretarĆa de Integración Económica Centroamericana (SIECA) for international freight drivers. According to the tweet: “Compartimos información emitida por la SecretarĆa de Integración Económica Centroamericana (SIECA) sobre el registro previo que deben realizar los conductores para generar y transmitir la DUCA-T en operaciones de trĆ”nsito aduanero internacional. https://t.co/MZuPJhjgg9” (January 8, 2026). This communication refers to the need for prior registration by drivers who must generate and transmit the DUCA-T document for international customs transit operations.
Later that day, the ministry announced a virtual talk aimed at helping taxpayers file their monthly summary declarations concerning clients, suppliers, and specific expenses not covered by electronic invoices. On January 9, another online session was announced to guide participants on handling Value Added Tax (IVA) using proportionality rules in the year 2025.
