The Ministerio de Hacienda de Costa Rica has made several announcements on its official Twitter account in mid-February 2026. The posts include information about a national broadcast, an invitation to a virtual talk, and the appointment of a new director for the Policía de Control Fiscal.

Later that same day, the ministry announced changes in leadership within one of its key departments with the message: “MANUEL SALAS CORRALES ES EL NUEVO DIRECTOR DE LA POLICÍA DE CONTROL FISCAL https://t.co/NXIYOPPeKY”.

The Ministerio de Hacienda is responsible for managing public finances and fiscal policy in Costa Rica. The Policía de Control Fiscal operates under this ministry and is tasked with enforcing tax laws and combating fiscal crimes.
