The Ministerio de Hacienda de Costa Rica used its official Twitter account to remind taxpayers of important deadlines and share government communications in mid-March 2026.

On March 13, the ministry posted a reminder about the upcoming tax deadline: “PLAZO PARA PRESENTAR Y PAGAR SIN RECARGO IMPUESTO SOBRE LA RENTA/UTILIDADES VENCE EL 16 DE MARZO https://t.co/G5cOl7jRm5”. This message emphasized that March 16 was the last day to file and pay income or profit taxes without incurring penalties.

On March 16, the ministry shared a national broadcast from the previous day: “Compartimos Cadena Nacional de este Domingo 15 de marzo 2026. https://t.co/ReH039fz6W”.

Later that same day, another post included only a link: “https://t.co/S6MY3WsS6j”.

The Ministerio de Hacienda is responsible for managing public finances in Costa Rica, including tax collection and fiscal policy. Each year, it reminds citizens of key tax filing dates and provides updates on government initiatives through various communication channels.
