The Ministerio de Hacienda de Costa Rica used its official Twitter account to communicate key tax deadlines and share national broadcasts in mid-March 2026. The posts included reminders about the income tax payment deadline and links to government media content.
On March 13, 2026, the ministry posted: “PLAZO PARA PRESENTAR Y PAGAR SIN RECARGO IMPUESTO SOBRE LA RENTA/UTILIDADES VENCE EL 16 DE MARZO https://t.co/G5cOl7jRm5”. This message reminded taxpayers that the deadline for filing and paying income or profit taxes without penalty was March 16.
Two days later, on March 16, the ministry shared a national broadcast from the previous day: “Compartimos Cadena Nacional de este Domingo 15 de marzo 2026. https://t.co/ReH039fz6w”.
Also on March 16, another post was published containing only a link: “https://t.co/S6MY3WsS6j”.
The Ministerio de Hacienda is responsible for managing public finances in Costa Rica, including tax collection and fiscal policy. The annual deadline for income tax filings is an important event for both individuals and businesses in the country.
