On September 5, 2025, the ministry reported that “PCF ALLANA COMPLEJO DE BODEGAS EN ALAJUELA https://t.co/vyxSk1yCvB”. The post refers to an operation conducted by the PolicĆa de Control Fiscal (PCF), which is responsible for investigating tax-related crimes and enforcing fiscal regulations in Costa Rica.
Later, on September 6, 2025, another post was published with a link: “https://t.co/Bf6UhexXS4”. No further information was provided in the tweet itself.
On the same day, the ministry announced an initiative related to public consultation and administrative changes: “DGT pone a disposición de la ciudadanĆa para consulta pĆŗblica el proyecto: Derogación del Decreto Ejecutivo No. 33384-H, publicado en La Gaceta No. 204 ,del 25 de octubre del 2006 y traslado de la Oficina de Cobro Judicial a la Dirección General de Tributación Para conocer el https://t.co/EpGmFJKEm7”. This message indicates that the Dirección General de Tributación (DGT) is seeking public input on a proposal to repeal Executive Decree No. 33384-H from October 25, 2006, and transfer the Office of Judicial Collection to the DGT.
The PolicĆa de Control Fiscal operates under the Ministerio de Hacienda and plays a key role in combating tax evasion and other financial crimes. The DGT is responsible for tax administration and policy implementation in Costa Rica. The proposed repeal of Decree No. 33384-H reflects ongoing efforts to modernize administrative procedures within the country’s fiscal institutions.
