The Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica has used its official Twitter account to issue reminders and guidance on health and safety in early February 2026. The ministry addressed topics including school safety, suicide prevention, and maternal and child health.
On February 2, 2026, the ministry emphasized the importance of basic care for families and students as the new school year begins.
This statement underscores the need for vigilance regarding warning signs related to suicide risk.
On February 4, 2026, attention shifted to maternal and child health.
Costa Rica’s Ministry of Health regularly uses social media to communicate public health recommendations. Its messaging aligns with national efforts to promote preventive healthcare practices in schools and homes as well as address critical issues such as suicide prevention and reducing maternal and infant mortality rates.
